In today's episode, we are gonna cover signs from spirit I'm gonna share real stories to help you spot the signs you've been missing. Have you ever wondered if that feather on the ground, that dime that you saw, that perfectly timed song in the grocery store, or that strange, too coincidental experience, encounter with an animal of some kind might actually be a sign from a loved one in the spirit world. In this episode, I'm sharing real stories, some touching, some funny, some celebrity and some that might just give you chills about how spirit communicates through everyday life. We'll be exploring the subtle signs that you might be missing, the timing and emotional pull behind signs from the spirit world, and how to tell when it's really them. So whether you've received signs before or you're still not sure what you're looking for, this episode will help you recognize the Language of Spirit when it shows up for you. You may even discover that you've been receiving these helpful hellos and validations all along from the spirit world, and just hadn't connected the dots to realize it. And of course, I always love if you share your spirit stories or experiences in the comments or send them to me first as we dive in. I want to quickly touch on this idea of common versus unusual signs from the spirit world. While some signs might be shared or common amongst many people, no hello from the spirit world is quote, unquote common. These are special, soul to soul, mystical experiences of connection made possible by the love that we still share with our spirit people. And while one of the most common and challenging things about sharing signs is that it's not just about seeing or receiving the sign itself, but it also comes with things like sometimes a tingle, sometimes a physical sensation or an emotion, sometimes a laugh or a little bit of a shock in the way the thing comes in, it can be hard to convey to other People exactly why the sign was so powerful for you some of the time, and sometimes a pause just to notice. Sometimes that person might just pop into your mind at the exact moment. Sometimes you might see a physical object that reminds you of them. None of it is ordinary. Signs are part of a larger mystical soul to soul connection, which is also part of why it might be so challenging to tell someone else a story about a sign that you have received. It might seem like the words just don't quite convey the feelings or emotions of the actual experience. This part is typical. There are unique mystical experiences between you and the soul of your loved ones that happen, and we call them signs, and we don't always give these signs in the world the respect or credence that they deserve. We often dismiss them, and some people even make fun of them, or think, Oh, that's not real, that's just wishful thinking. And what might seem to someone else like a simple bumper sticker on a car window or a song that just happens to come on while you're shopping, it's actually so much more, and here's why, while it might seem like random chance when you receive a sign at first glance, or maybe just a hummingbird that's uncomfortably close, for example, part of what's really happening behind the scenes is that your loved one has to know who they are right. They have to know who they are as a soul, who the personality is that they are, and they have to know also who you are, right? They have to know where you're going to be in the world at any given moment to get a sign across to you. They have to know that this item, this song, this name, whatever they put across your path, they have to know what it is, and they have to know that this will help you. Connect the dots to them, plus they have to try to get you to look in the direction of the sign and notice it. They're doing a lot of work to get these signs through to you. And again, it's through the love that we share that these really special, mystical soul to soul experiences are able to happen for us. So a lot is going on. There's an intelligence in the spirit world. There's an intelligence to our soul and therefore, to the souls of your loved ones. So it's not just a simple coincidence or a simple sign. There is so much going on behind the scenes for them to make these signs happen for you. And in today's episode, I'm going to be sharing a lot of signs. Initially I was going to do 10 celebrity signs, but actually it's going to work out to be more than 10. So I'll give some celebrity signs. I'll give some real life clients stories, of course, with names and small details changed for the anonymity of my clients, and then a couple of other publicly shared stories, so you can really start seeing how these signs might be showing up in your real life, because I don't want you guys missing these mystical connections with your loved ones anymore. So this first two, actually stories of signs come from the author, teacher, mystic. His name is Kyle gray. If you've never heard of him. He's a pretty incredible soul himself. And he lost his mom. His mom's crossed over to the spirit world. And he shared two stories publicly that really, for me, hit it home. The first story has to do with him trying to figure out this password on one of his mom's devices after her passing, and he couldn't figure out what it was, and he wasn't sure what it was, and then all of the sudden, seemingly like out of the blue, a friend turns up at his place and brings him a package of sausages. I know this sounds crazy, and as this friend's giving him these sausages, he's saying, you know, I just keep thinking of this story that your mom once told me that when you were a little boy, you would only eat these sausages. They were called wee Willie sausages. And the friend said, I kept thinking about you, but I don't know why I'm bringing you these sausages. I know this is really weird, but yeah, I kept thinking about that story, and so I was bringing these to you, and it suddenly clicked for him, and he realized, oh my gosh, sausages is the password, and it was and he shares another story of a sign or a mystical hello from his mom as one time he returned from a trip, and all of a sudden he'd been missing his mom and thinking about her, and all of a sudden a car pulled out. Car pulled out right in front of him, and the way he says it is, the license plate said Diane, and that was his mom's name. So right at that exact moment, that car in front of him with the mom's license plate on. So I really love those two stories. Another amazing story that I love is actually from Oprah Winfrey herself dimes from spirit story. So you know, even Oprah has talked about receiving signs from beyond, and she shared a quiet but deeply personal story about how dimes began showing up in her life the way she explained it is always at the most curious and meaningful moments, not quarters, not pennies, always dimes. And she recounted that it started happening after the passing of someone close to her, and the first time she was doing some completely ordinary like folding laundry, a type task. And the way she recalls it is that when she opened the washing machine, they're balanced like perfectly and impossibly. On the rim of the metal inside was a single, shiny dime. And the way she explains it is, she stared at it for a moment, kind of frozen. And right before she opened the washer, she had been kind of thinking as like a whisper in her heart, I wish I could feel my grandma near just something, anything. And then there it was a dime, not something that would naturally end up in that spot, not something she had any memory of putting there. Who would put that there? And it didn't stop there, the way she recounts the story, dimes started appearing in random places, tucked between couch cushions when she was thinking of her grandma resting alone on a windowsill, just as she was questioning whether she was like on the right path, about a big choice she was making, even she would find them slipped into like a coat pocket that she hadn't worn for months, just in time to bring a wave of peace for her during a challenging day or a challenging moment. Now, here's the thing to anyone else, these might have looked like nothing coincidence, just pocket change. But to Oprah, these moments carried a hum, a shiver. She describes it as almost a soft whisper from the spirit world, like her loved ones were saying, I see you. I'm still. There. I love you. And she later said, it's not just the dime itself, it's the timing, it's the knowing, and it's the feeling that floods through your body when it happens, even if it's very, very, very subtle. I think so many of us can relate to that, that it's it's so personal, and it's such a quick, fleeting moment that we could easily dismiss it if we weren't available for it, because signs aren't usually loud often, they're just subtle nudges, quiet acknowledgements. They arrive with a wave of warmth or like a breath catching stillness that makes us pause, even just for a split second and think of them right? It's not about the dime, it's about the message behind it. You're not alone. You're being supported. Another story that I really love actually comes from Oprah daily, and of course, I'll cite all these sources in the show notes. If you guys want to go for the original resources, they'll be there for you. This story I really loved because it's so beautifully captures the emotional like texture and depth of receiving a sign, not just seeing something, but feeling it, knowing it, a deep inner knowing. And this particular story is shared by a contributor named Rebecca Goomer, and it centers around a moment of grief and a name. So Rebecca's infant son, named Cooper, only lived six and a half weeks on this earth. He was born in the early 80s, and he had a congenital heart defect, and even though he underwent surgery when he was only four days old, there were additional fatal complications that went undetectable back then, because obviously in the early 80s, medical technology was a little bit different. And tragically, one cold winter night he the way she says it has died suddenly in my arms, quietly slipping out of this world, leaving, of course, the family shattered by grief and just broken hearted. And the way the story goes is, for 42 years, Rebecca and her family kept Cooper's photograph on their mantle. They would speak his name on birthdays, but then gradually, over the years, it sort of fell silent, kind of in solemn sorrow, and they didn't speak about him as much. And then, in the spring of 2021 during the isolation of covid, when we were all locked away for the pandemic, Rebecca courageously posted this really heartfelt invitation on social media, encouraging others to share the names, to speak the names of their lost loved ones. And it's a really incredible story, as she read each name aloud with love and with power behind them, more and more community support just poured in. And it may seem like a small act, but if you've ever lost someone who's deeply dear to you, you know how saying their name, like really saying and feeling their name can bring up just a tidal wave of emotions. There's a reverence, a sacredness in it, a truth in it, a connection that still reaches across all time and space and dimension, right? And that afternoon, after having this beautiful experience with sharing not only her story, but speaking these names of all these other community members lost loved ones, she just had a moment where she walked out to her window and happened to glance outside at the sky and there circling above her yard. She said it was unusual. It was insistent and had still utter focus. There was what's called a Cooper's Hawk. It's special kind of Hawk, and she recounts that it stayed circling and watching for almost an hour right above their little house, their yard, and she said it felt like as if it was keeping vigil and bearing witness to this beautiful act of remembrance that she was creating with this online community in this really challenging time. And in her essay, Rebecca described it as not just a hawk, but as a symbol, a sacred mirror of the energy she had just released into the universe, a soul responding to the call of its name, and whether or not anyone else believed it. She knew, deep in her bones, she knew it was connection. She knew this Hawk wasn't random, and it was a sign from her baby boy, because things aren't always something you can explain in words. Right signs are so personal that sometimes we have to just sense it, and we can't really explain this sensing to someone else with mere words always. But you know, inside of yourself, when they're. Real the way she gives it is you feel it in your chest. You stop breathing for a moment, and everything in the world goes quiet for a split second, and you whisper to yourself, that was them. That Hawk didn't speak. Obviously. It didn't drop a feather. Didn't leave a note. It didn't write anything across the sky, and it pixie dust or anything. But it stayed. It circled. It showed up in the exact moment her love reached out and it answered. What a beautiful sign to show up for Rebecca Guier in this story, the next story I have is from Lily Reinhardt. She's an actress, and in this story that appeared in People Magazine in February 2020, she and she's also repeated it publicly since then, she describes and shares that after the passing of her Riverdale co star Luke Perry, who passed away in March of 2019 some of us know him from other other shows in the 90s, she experienced this vivid dream with him, and the way she recounts it is, I had a dream last night, and I saw Luke, and I hugged him so hard, and I cried into his shoulder, telling him how much we all miss him. And she said, I think it was his spirit visiting me in my sleep, letting me know that he's smiling brightly from the other side. And you know, for celebrities to be sharing these types of stories in mainstream publications like People magazine, I just think it's really incredible. And I'm going to give you a few client stories, and then we're going to really go through several celebrity stories. And not that these celebrity stories are any more powerful, but it really just goes to show that these are experiences that we all have, even if they feel taboo to talk about, even if we don't always share them at the water cooler, at the office, right? This is a common thread, and so I'm hoping, again, that by sharing all of this with you, it might illuminate where you're missing signs in your own life. This first client story, let's call her Sarah. She came to me after the loss of her younger brother. He had passed away, as it came out in the reading, he had passed away in a car accident, quite unexpectedly and tragically, and she felt like there was this unfinished conversation with them. She had so much guilt and was just longing to connect with him. And she said in her heart, she just kept having this nagging feeling that she needed to know if he was okay, and she needed to know if he truly was still with her. And at the end of her session, after her brother had really shared and helped me express his personality. He was very like witty and mischievous, and in the very last moments of the conversation, he kept helping me understand this mental image of what I perceived to be him holding up a penny and like laughing, like as if he was teasing her. There was a joke here, but, like, it was a mischievous kind of little brother type of a laugh. And I gave it to her. I was it was so quick and small that I almost didn't but I decided to trust it, and I told her what I was experiencing. And I asked her if this is something she could understand. And she just burst into tears, and she said, it's crazy. I just cleaned out my car last week, and I found a single penny on the dashboard at the end of it. And she said I even took a photo of it. She showed me I even took a photo of it because I thought it was so weird that there was this penny just randomly on my dashboard after I was cleaning my car, and she said she was kind of connecting the dots, because she had been asking if he could give her a sign, and she said she'd been wondering like, was that it, or was that just a weird coincidence? It didn't make any sense to her, but it was so strange that she even took a photo of it so she knew exactly what he was talking about. And the second client story, another client, let's call her Janine, came to me right before some holidays, like the holiday season, and her mom had passed away just a few months before the holidays, and this was going to be their first holiday season without mom in the family, physically and the way she told it to me after the session was that her mom really loved gardenias, and every year she would buy these fresh blooms of gardenias and bring them to the holidays so that a certain area of the of the House would always smell like gardenias for the holidays. And her mom's passing came very strong during the session, and she really wanted to describe and share how quick her passing had been and that they didn't really feel like they got even though her mom had been on well for a little while, they didn't feel like they got those final conversations that they. I really wanted, and so she wasn't sure how her mom would be showing up around her, but she really, you know, in her heart, when she was coming in for the session, really wanted to know, you know, was her mom around her. And as part of the communication, I had asked her, do you you sometimes get this, like waft from out of nowhere, of like a very floral either, like a gardenia, a tuberose. And she was like, Oh my gosh, I just smelled it in my kitchen last week, out of nowhere. And she was saying, there's no candles, no flowers, no like scented cleaners. And just like I had described it, she said it was just for like, a fleeting, quick second, but it was, it was enough, strong enough, to get her like, to stop and pay attention. Stopped her in her tracks, is the way she said it, and she's like, I thought I was just imagining it. But that's the thing about signs, whether they're sensory, like a scent or a taste or the memory of a taste or a smell, they're usually fleeting, but they kind of strike us right in our energetic heart, right? They make the world go still, if only for a half a breath, just so quick. And of course, her mom's message and the essence of this communication was, I'm still showing up. I'm still here for the holidays. I'm still home with you. I still love you, and I know everything that's going on. The third client story that I want to share is one of my favorite science stories. It came from a client I'm going to call her Maria, and she came in because she had lost her husband, is what we uncovered through the session, and he had passed a couple years before her session, and she after the session, you know, his personality came through quite well. He's a very good communicator, and she described him as a lovable pain in the butt. So during the session, he was communicating, and his his little bit of like a gruff but loving, but humorous personality. And there was a moment in the session where I couldn't quite understand it. I was working with the evidence, with the details, and I the way I was experiencing it was like he's indicating that there's a tool of his, like one of his favorite tools, and you've been using it recently, and somehow you broke it, or broke when you were holding it in like, a very strange way. And she started laughing, and she said, Okay, you're not gonna believe this. And I was like, what happened? And she said it was his remote control, like for the TV. She said she hadn't sat in his special spot that he liked to sit for a long time. And she decided on this specific day, you know, to sit there, and she got out, you know, the remote, which is his favorite tool. She was joking, and she said she just was barely pushing the buttons and, like, the whole thing, kind of like, burst apart batteries coming out and everything right in her hand. And she was like, I wasn't even pressing it hard. And we both laughed, and she said like that, definitely would be this man, her beautiful husband, who would rather break the remote than let her have control of the TV is cut. Was kind of her joke, but he was just wanting her to know in these very subtle, sweet ways that he was still there. He was still with her, and it wasn't just about the remote, it's about the timing, the personality, the delivery. It was so him. I learned through this communication and through sharing time with her, playful, slightly annoying, totally unmistakable, and this little bit of like sarcastic, playful sense of humor with him about his favorite tool, which I thought was hilarious, spirit doesn't lose their sense of humor on the other side, if anything, it often becomes a part of how they reach us, because they know what will get our attention. It's part of that intelligence I was talking about. Not only do they have to know who you are and who they are, but they have to know how to get your attention. They know what will make us laugh and what helps us know that it's them okay. This fourth story that I want to share is actually from a friend of mine that I worked with. I'll call them Alex, and they had recently lost their parent and before their father passed away, in those quiet, precious moments in the final days, they had said and had this heartfelt conversation with their dad, and Alex had asked, like, if you can, will you send me a sign to let me know that you're okay on the other side? And the dad paused for a minute, you know, even in those final days of his life and and said, Sure, I'll send you a bird. I don't know what. I'll figure it out. They had told me this story after the reading. So in the weeks that followed, Alex started noticing that this one bird kept showing up, perched right on the deck, right on the railing outside the kitchen window. Kind of loud, a little. Little obnoxious, sometimes just sitting there, squawking, like for no apparent reason. But Alex wasn't sure. Wasn't sure if this was the side, if this was the bird. And then one morning, as Alex was driving to check on their mom, who still lived in the family home, it was kind of on top of this hill in this suburban town, not really rural, not in the city, but like Suburban. It had been like a really emotional week, and they were feeling very worn down. And as Alex, like, rounded the bend of this road, they had been thinking quietly, like, Dad, I really need to know that you're here, if that was you with the bird. Like, I need something a little bit bigger. I really need to know, because they were really struggling. And just a couple of minutes later, as they, like, got towards the house, they had to slam on their brakes because a massive flock of wild turkeys had flooded into the road, completely blocking the street like gobbling and flapping and strutting in all the directions, like I've heard of cats, almost, but wild turkeys a crazy thing. It was so absurd that my friend Alex just sat there frozen, and then, of course, laughed and cried and laughed again. And in the conversation we had after the reading, Alex said, like, it felt like his dad was saying, like, Oh, you want a bird. Like, here's a here's a bird. Like, ignore this. And the best part that kind of playful grand gesture was, like, exactly how their dad showed up in life, loud, clear, but with a wink and a smile. Sometimes Spirit gives us just the whisper, and sometimes they send in the turkeys, right? So signs can come in all kinds of ways. I'm going to go through several stories of people you've probably heard of receiving signs and messages from loved ones. On the other side, here are our celebrity spirit stories. Number one is CS Lewis, who is an author, and the story comes from their work from 1961 A Grief Observed so after the death of his wife, joy, Davidson CS Lewis wrote in this Grief Observed about moments that he could feel her presence so vividly it was almost physical. He recalls feeling her voice like feeling her voice, think about that, guiding his thoughts and quiet contemplative moments, offering comfort even during deep grief. These weren't mere memories. They were experiences that he interpreted as a direct connection with his wife from beyond the grave. The next celebrity sign example I have is our very own, Sheryl Crow, the musician which you may know. So Sheryl Crow has shared that after the passing of her father, she sometimes has experienced sudden emotional nudges or heard like a song that seemed out of place. These moments she attributes as a connection with him, and she explains it even further that before major performances or important events that she recalls feeling what she describes as a tap on the shoulder in spirit, reassuring her that she wasn't alone, giving her courage to step into the moment, knowing her Dad was by her side, and one of the places she shared this is in Parade magazine interview from 2019 Sheryl Crow on Lost Love and music. This third example, I think everyone has heard of incredible superstar, Tina Turner. And Tina Turner had described receiving signs from her late mother, particularly during moments of uncertainty, she recalls that subtle experiences like a familiar scent, a song at the perfect time, or even an unexpected wave of peace that she interpreted as guidance, and these moments have offered her clarity, reassurance and helped her navigate her career and her personal decisions, and she shares part of this in her story called My love story from 2018 that is Tina Turner, a fourth example I have from you, for you of celebrity signs is Mr. Jim Carrey, actor, comedian extraordinaire, Jim Carrey has spoken about his feelings and his experiences with his late father's presence during moments of doubt or anxiety. He has recounted how inspiration would sometimes like strike him immediately after thinking about his father, almost like he'd think of him, then all of a sudden, he'd have this inspiration kind of rush in, almost like gentle nudges and guidances from beyond these experiences he recounts, help him make important personal and professional decisions and offer him direction and comfort. And he talks about this on the BBC in The Graham Norton Show 2020, with. Variety of interviews as well. Our fifth celebrity sign example is Angelina Jolie, who you might know is also an actor. Angelina Jolie has described noticing subtle signs from her late mother in everyday life. She has recalled in interviews moments when a specific song would play, or an image would appear just at the right time, even an intuitive feeling that would guide a decision about a family issue or a film project. And she stated that she interprets these occurrences as her mother, quote, unquote. Checking in is the way she says. It a comforting form of communication from beyond the veil, and she talks about this specifically in her interview with Vanity Fair from 2016 titled Angelina Jolie on her mother and loss, our sixth celebrity sign story comes from Lady Gaga herself. Lady Gaga has shared experiences of feeling her late aunt's presence, especially before she says major performances, or when making key creative decisions, she describes sudden bursts of inspiration, emotional shifts or a sense of reassurance that she interprets as her aunt providing guidance from the other side. And she has stated that these signs help her feel connected and supported. She talked about this in her interview with Elle magazine in 2018 our seventh celebrity sign story comes from none other than musician worldwide, talent extraordinaire, Michael Jackson, close associates of Michael Jackson reported that he would often sense his mother, Katherine Jackson's presence during his recording sessions. Actually, he would sometimes speak of hearing guidance or advice from her in his mind, and particularly in creative moments, which he interpreted, apparently, as her continuing to influence him from beyond the physical world. There's a story called Michael Jackson, the magic, the madness, and the whole story from 2009 in which Randy Tara Borelli talks about this experience. And this recounting from Michael Jackson, one of my favorites is our number eight celebrity story of signs and feeling the presence of the Spirit World. Beloved actor, comedian, wonderful soul. Robin Williams, friends and family recalled in the HBO 2018 documentary titled Robin friends and family recalled that Robin Williams occasionally spoke about sensing his father's presence, particularly before making important decisions. He described feeling a subtle energy or a nudge that seemed to guide him in the right direction, experiences he interpreted as communications and reassurances from his late father, another of my favorites, and probably yours too, number nine on our 10 celebrity signs list comes from Jason Momoa. Jason Momoa has openly spoken about feeling signs from his deceased loved ones and ancestors, especially his father. He describes experiencing vivid dreams or sudden gut feelings in key moments in life, which he interprets as direct messages and guidance from those have passed on. His views of these experiences are that they are comforting connection that reminds him that he is supported by his dad and his ancestors, even after loss. And he really dives into this in the 2021, Men's Health Interview titled Jason Momoa on family loss and spiritual connection. I'm not making these up. Isn't this crazy that all of us experience these things? Okay, number 10, rounding out our celebrity accounts of signs and mystical experiences is Dolly Parton, the incredible, beautiful soul and musician. Dolly Parton has shared that she occasionally senses each of her deceased parents, her mom and her dad during quiet, reflective moments. She recalls times when a warm presence has filled the room, or she receives an emotional nudge that reminds her of the lessons of love and guidance from her parents, and she interprets these as subtle, ongoing signs of care and connection. And she shares about this in her 2019 PBS special Dolly Parton song teller. So there are so many more than just 10 celebrity sightings or sign examples, and I even gave more than 10 in this episode, but it's just to show that so many people feel and experience these mystical moments of signs, and not everyone shares them publicly. I. Lot of times we reserve these signed experiences for our private moments, thinking like, oh my gosh, I don't want someone to think I'm weird, or this is not going to make any sense to someone, because, like I said, it's not just the sign itself. It's the timing, it's the specificity. It's often that person dropping into our mind in that moment, or sometimes we might get a subtle physical sensation, or even the feeling of pause, of like, Oh, what's that? Right? So there's so many ways it can come in, but hopefully this has opened your mind and heart a bit. So if you have ever wondered, was that a sign, actually? Maybe it was the penny, maybe it was a scent of flowers, or the remembrance of a taste of a specific recipe of one of your loved ones. Maybe it's a broken remote control or a flock of wild turkeys that brought you to a laughing, tearful standstill. Maybe you experienced something very subtle, or maybe you got something that was very loud as a sign, but it made you pause and feel something and that something, whatever it was that you felt that matters, because here's what I want you to take away from all of this, really, signs aren't always tidy. They're not always what we expect or in the ways that we expect. They don't come with trumpets or flashing lights most of the time, but they do come with love and subtlety and intention, intelligence, specificity, with precision, with personality, with divine timing that sometimes makes the hair on our arms or the back of our next stand up and gives us chills. And behind every sign, yes, even the silly and imperfect ones, is a soul who remembers you, who loves you, and is showing up to share and support the energy that you have going on in the world, a presence that's reaching through the veil, not just to say I'm still here, but also to say, I know you, I see you, I love you, I'm with you. And the truth is, you have to earn these signs. You don't have to be perfectly spiritual or say the right words or even be at any specific juncture of your life, you just have to be open, receptive, willing to pause long enough, even just to wonder, was that really them? What if it was? Because so often it actually is their soul with you right in that moment. So here's your invitation. Next time something strange or beautiful or almost too coincidental crosses your path and your heart lights up, even just for a split second. Don't dismiss it. Let it in. Say hello and silently ask them is that you don't let that moment pass you by. Just send your love back to them and watch the connection continue to unfold. Let it in trust what rises up in your body before your brain has time to come in and place that doubt in your way, right? Because you're already in the conversation with your loved ones. They feel your love, and love always finds a way to speak and to connect, even across the veil, even from the spirit world beyond. And if you're not sure what signs your loved ones are sending you, I still have that free sign mini course available to you right on the homepage of my website, joyful medium.com it's called sign magnet, and it'll teach you how to set up very specific signs with your loved ones.
